| “ | In demon days, it's cold inside | „ |
Demon Days is the title fifteenth and final track on Gorillaz' second studio album, Demon Days.
As with the previous track, the song features the London Community Gospel Choir doing the vocals for the second verse.
Information[]
Described as "the light at the end of the tunnel the dawn after the longest night of the soul", the track is based around the same chords as "Don't Get Lost…", allowing the two songs to become one glorious crescendo, a real musical climax that guides the listener into a far more optimistic climate.[1]
| “ | The track's a positive re-assurance. Today's a new day. We still have everything to gain, and a universe to fight for. This is the album's exit. The flipside of the intro. It's a very uplifting and optimistic finale to the album, as the beginning presents the listener with the sensation of being alone, isolated, and the end feels more like a universal connection. | „ |

[2D]
Aaaaaaaaaahhhhhh...
In demon days, it's cold inside
You don't get nobody, people sigh
It's so bad, lasting far, but love yourself
Hiding in a hole in there
All the glasses are too big
Bring it back, got to hold it back
To let you do that yet you don't want me back
Before it fall down, falling down falling down
Falling out to go far from the son
[London Community Gospel Choir]
In these demon days it's so cold inside
So hard for a good soul to survive
You can't even trust the air you breathe
Cause Mother Earth wants us all to leave
When lies become reality, you numb yourself with drugs and T.V.
Lift yourself up, it's a brand new day!
So turn yourself around
Don't burn yourself, turn yourself
Turn yourself around
To the sun!
To the sun!
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun
To the sun! To the sun[2]
