A smaller version of the Demon Strings

Demon Strings are an orchestral string section and the in-house string section for musician Damon Albarn.

Role in Gorillaz[]

The Demon Strings first made an appearance on Demon Days and they would later perform on the Demon Days Live shows and on the track Hong Kong from the album D-Sides. They joined Gorillaz again on the Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour. Some past members of the Demon Strings collaborated with Gorillaz again on the Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez and Meanwhile EP.

Musical Career[]

The Demon strings have performed on many projects by Damon Albarn, including 2008 soundtrack Monkey: Journey To The West, his 2014 solo album Everyday Robots, 2015 Blur album The Magic Whip and both albums by The Good, The Bad & The Queen.
