Earl John Daley, known by his stage name as Earl Sixteen or Earl 16, is a Jamaican reggae singer and musician whose career began in the mid-1970s and is still active to this day. He was born the 9th of May 1958, in Kingston, Jamaica.
Work with Gorillaz[]
Earl 16 first worked with Gorillaz providing additional vocals on the track "Tomorrow Dub", a dub reworking of the song "Tomorrow Comes Today" made by dj and musician Darren Galea (also known as DJ D-Zire), but was left uncredited. However, he would not long after be featured on the dub reworkings album Laika Come Home by the Spacemonkeyz, by providing some more additional vocals and other aspects as well. There, he worked with another Jamaican dub reggae artist, U Brown, who was also provided vocals for some tracks. He worked on the tracks "Bañana Baby" (the later version of "Tomorrow Dub"), "A Fistful Of Peanuts" and "More Peanuts".
