On November 2, 2019, Gorillaz released a short animation to commemorate Día de los Muertos (The Day of the Dead).

Video

The short featured all four band members in skull makeup, glowing eyes and skeletal bodies standing ominously in a dark, foggy area preparing to perform while the audio intro to the Clint Eastwood music video played in the background.

Development

The animation was produced by Blinkink under the name "Zombie Studio" (not to be confused with Zombie Flesh Eaters).
