Film Music the second and a fully instrumental B-side track from the CD and DVD releases of the "Tomorrow Comes Today" single. The track also played during a quiz game on the band's website at the time, Kong Studios.

A remix of the track called "Film Music (Mode Remix)" made made by soundtrack composer Aidan Lavelle was included on the 12" vinyl release of the single.

Recording[]

The song itself is an instrumental Damon Albarn made using only synths, a drum machine loop and a Western type guitar. It was originally planned to be included in the score for the canceled Gorillaz film, Celebrity Harvest. It wasn't, however, fully developed due to both the movie being scrapped, and to it being made only as background music for the movie and not as a main focus of it.

Trivia[]

  • On the "Tomorrow Comes Today" single DVD, it has its own visual, which is a looped version of the gorilla interlude from the G-Bitez shorts with the song playing over it.
    • Another B-side track from the same single, "Tomorrow Dub", also has its own visual on the DVD release.
  • The song's eery yet disjointed Western cinema vibe is similar to the works of no wave band Wall Of Voodoo.
  • This track was also featured on the Phase 2 G-Bite "Talent Quest".
