Murdoc emerging from the Hell Hole.
The Hell Hole is a location in Kong Studios. It was one of the new rooms added to the website during Phase 2, on 8th December 2004. It is the deepest room in Kong.
Gorillaz.com at Kong Studios (December 2004 - July 2008)[]
The room was named for its portal to hell in the center. Above this hole, the words "Fire Coming Out Of The Monkeys Head" was written. Sometime around early 2006 the portal slowly grew much larger, and a timer was added above the hole. A briefcase was also added to the room around this time. This timer came down to zero on 6th June 2006. Once it reached zero, an animation played where Murdoc rose out of the hole, and said "I want your souls". After this was said, the timer reset. Every time afterwards, when the timer came down to zero, the animation replayed and the timer reset again, except for one time when the animation glitched out and didn't play. To the right of the hole was a locked door. Many visitors tried looking for a potential key to this locked door, however, it never existed, and the locked door was likely put in the room just to troll players.
Slowboat To Hades (October 2006)[]
The Hell Hole also appears in the Slowboat to Hades DVD, where it's mostly the same. From the room, you can access the Spitting Out The Demons Visualizer, the Motorola Commercial, the 2d and Murdoc Puppet Chat/Interview, Murdoc's New Year's Eve Thank You, and an advert for Demon Days. This room is also the only room on the DVD to feature two hidden videos, those being the Murdoc 666 Animation, and Murdoc's Christmas Speech Outtakes. As well as other rooms on the DVD, The Hell Hole is more 3-D animated and realistic compared to how it was on the site.
In the Kong website recreation, Murdoc always comes out of the hell hole each time you enter and there is no timer.
