History To Date..., also known as the Demon Days EPK, is a promotional EPK by Gorillaz from their second studio album Demon Days that summarises the band's history from their formation until early Phase 2.

Information[]

The DVD consists of snippets and segments from Gorillaz' songs, music videos and animated shorts, such as the G-Bitez and the Phase 2 idents, with a narrator telling the band's backstory up to that point and interview sections with the band members addressing their history, motivations, music, collaborations and other works.

The DVD was never released commercially, and was only intended for promotional use. It was also never made officially available for broadcasting outside of certain promo releases. It was posted to Vimeo on June 2019 and later, on May 2020, a fan-made remaster of the EPK made by Pazuzu Pictures and Visuals Only, with better visuals and audio quality, was uploaded to YouTube.

Trivia[]

  • Around the end of the EPK, Russel says the following: "I'm saying, we'll see how good we are seven albums down the line". In 2020, with the release of Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez, the band reached their 7 studio album milestone, and even surpassed it with the release of Cracker Island, their eighth studio album, in 2023.
