The Gorillaz O2 Priority Walk Advert, was an advert created in 2010 to promote Gorillaz Escape to Plastic Beach World Tour.
Background[]
The O2 Priority Ad saw 2-D, Murdoc and Cyborg Noodle be shined away by Damon Albarn and the other live band members. This was a completely different story to Demon Days, where Damon was working with Gorillaz and performed the Demon Days set at the Manchester Opera House and at the Apollo Theatre in New York. In 2010 the Gorillaz live band took the all glory for Gorillaz success and in the process Damon started to purposely mess up the lines of Gorillaz songs. In the advert Murdoc, 2-D and Cyborg Noodle can be seen making their way to the stage before being held back by security, Murdoc tries desperately to make his way on stage while Damon and the live band made their way to the stage. Murdoc eventually screams out the "It's my band!". He later assumed that when he failed to give his soul to Satan, he gave the imposter live band all the glory. Later, for the entire tour the real Gorillaz spent the entire tour locked in the dressing room, which Murdoc says sounds like "a Gorillaz tribute band". Later in the Rhinestone Eyes Storyboard, we find out that Damon and the rest of the live band are part of the Black Clouds, summoned by the Boogieman.
