Song Machine Tour was a short live concert tour by Gorillaz. It started with the Song Machine Live online performances on December 12-13, 2020. The tour is in support of their seventh album, Song Machine, Season One: Strange Timez. Unlike Song Machine Live, the rest of the concerts were presential. Most of the shows were cancelled or moved to Gorillaz World Tour 2022 due to the COVID-19 pandemic limitations.

Trivia[]

  • The poster features the Trellick Tower, a building where Jamie Hewlett and Damon Albarn lived together and conceived the idea of Gorillaz.
  • The tracks Meanwhile, Jimmy Jimmy and Déjà Vu were first revealed and played live on the 10th of August, 2021 at the O2 Arena.
  • For the first set of Song Machine shows, Pos from De La Soul provided Dave's part on Feel Good Inc..
  • There were a few visual problems with the 02 shows, with some of them being delayed or not being played at the right time
  • On the NHS O2 show, Damon messed up on Feel Good Inc. meaning that the visuals were at least 20 seconds ahead of the live band.
  • Tickets for the first London O2 Arena show on August 10th were given away for free to NHS workers and their families.
