Stephen Sedgwick is a British Grammy-nominated mixing engineer based in the UK.

Role in Gorillaz[]

Sedgwick is the go-to mixing engineer for all of Albarn’s work and has been so since recording sessions for Hong Kong, continuing to work with Albarn as a mix engineer through Gorillaz, Blur, The Good, the Bad & the Queen and most of his other side projects. Sedgwick produced Gorillaz' album The Fall and designed the patterns found in Gorillaz’ iElectribe app.

Musical Career[]

Sedgwick's career began around 2002. In 2004 Stephen first met Damon Albarn. In 2006, Damon invited Stephen to work at the first incarnation of Studio 13 and in 2010 Stephen was appointed Head Engineer at the current location near Ladbroke Grove. Stephen has received multiple grammy nominations over the years. He has worked with many artists, including Benjamin Clementine, Bobby Womack, Chaka Khan, De La Soul, Erykah Badu, Fatoumata Diawara, Lou Reed, Martina Topley-Bird, Massive Attack, Mura Masa, Rat Boy, Snoop Dogg, The Clash and Tony Allen. Sedgwick also worked on multiple movie soundtracks, those being Broken, Lucy, Jawbone, Paddington and Paddington 2.
